Veritas Intelligence was founded to bring the discipline, judgment, and discretion of professional intelligence work to consequential decisions in business, law, investment, and private affairs.
Our work is informed by more than three decades of senior experience across intelligence operations, diplomacy, counterintelligence, investigations, corporate security, and international risk. That experience shapes how we evaluate incomplete information, identify what matters, challenge assumptions, and reach defensible judgments.
Founded by Benjamin House — a retired CIA Senior Operations Officer, former U.S. Foreign Service Officer, former U.S. Army Counterintelligence Special Agent, and former Fortune 500 Global Safety & Security executive — Veritas combines intelligence tradecraft with an understanding of how senior decision-makers actually evaluate risk.

Founder & Principal, Veritas Intelligence
Benjamin House is the Founder and Principal of Veritas Intelligence. He advises law firms, investors, corporations, and private clients when conventional diligence is insufficient, information is incomplete or conflicting, and the consequences of being wrong are significant.
Veritas serves clients through two complementary models. Executive Risk Advisory provides experienced guidance on defined risks, decisions, and complex challenges through focused engagements or ongoing advisory relationships. Fractional Chief Security Officer provides embedded executive security leadership, helping organizations establish strategy, strengthen governance, oversee security programs, and manage risk without maintaining a full-time CSO.
Benjamin brings more than three decades of experience spanning intelligence operations, diplomacy, counterintelligence, investigations, and Fortune 500 corporate security leadership.
As the senior-most security executive for a Fortune 500 company, he led Global Safety & Security with responsibility for security across an enterprise encompassing more than 25,000 employees and 2,000 locations worldwide. He advised senior executives on geopolitical risk, investigations, operational exposure, executive threats, crisis response, and other matters affecting global operations.
Previously, Benjamin served as a CIA Senior Operations Officer, including two assignments as Chief of Station in Latin America. His operational experience extended across five continents and involved complex environments and high-priority national security matters.
His intelligence career required assessing incomplete and sometimes deliberately misleading information, understanding people and their motivations, challenging assumptions, managing uncertainty, and making consequential judgments under pressure. These disciplines continue to inform Veritas's approach to evaluating counterparties, organizations, leadership, and complex business environments.
Benjamin also served as a U.S. Foreign Service Officer and a Special Agent in U.S. Army Counterintelligence. His instructional assignments included serving as a senior instructor at the CIA Directorate of Operations training academy and as an instructor at the Department of Defense Advanced Counterintelligence Training Academy.
