Our work is informed by more than three decades of senior experience across intelligence operations, diplomacy, counterintelligence, investigations, corporate security, and international risk. That experience shapes how we evaluate incomplete information, identify what matters, challenge assumptions, and reach defensible judgments.
Founded by Benjamin House — a retired CIA Senior Operations Officer, former U.S. Foreign Service Officer, former U.S. Army Counterintelligence Special Agent, and former Fortune 500 Global Safety & Security executive — Veritas combines intelligence tradecraft with an understanding of how senior decision-makers actually evaluate risk.

Benjamin House
Founder & Principal, Veritas Intelligence
Benjamin House is the Founder and Principal of Veritas Intelligence. He advises law firms, investors, corporations, and private clients when conventional diligence is insufficient, information is incomplete or conflicting, and the consequences of being wrong are significant.
He is a retired CIA Senior Operations Officer with more than three decades of experience across intelligence operations, diplomacy, counterintelligence, investigations, international security, and corporate risk. During his CIA career, he served in senior operational assignments across five continents, including twice as Chief of Station in Latin America.
His work involved some of the most complex operational environments and highest-priority national security issues facing the United States. Those assignments required assessing incomplete and sometimes deliberately misleading information, understanding people and their motivations, challenging assumptions, managing uncertainty, and making consequential judgments under time pressure.
Before and during his broader government career, Benjamin also served as a U.S. Foreign Service Officer and as a Special Agent in U.S. Army Counterintelligence. He later served as a senior instructor within the CIA's Directorate of Operations training academy and previously instructed at the Department of Defense Advanced Counterintelligence Training Academy.
Following his government service, Benjamin led Global Safety & Security for a Fortune 500 company, with responsibility for more than 28,000 employees across over 2,000 locations worldwide. He advised senior executives on geopolitical risk, investigations, operational exposure, executive risk, crisis response, and other matters affecting global operations.
Today, Benjamin applies that experience through Veritas Intelligence to executive due diligence, leadership assessment, decision review, sensitive investigations, geopolitical analysis, and complex risk advisory. His approach combines intelligence tradecraft, rigorous analysis, regional expertise, and independent judgment to help clients understand not simply what information exists — but what it means for the decision in front of them.
